Job Summary
The Lead Financial Systems is responsible for owning and evolving SAP Finance capabilities by partnering closely with Finance stakeholders and IT delivery teams. This role combines deep SAP Finance functional expertise, strong business acumen, and Product Owner leadership to drive value through agile delivery, with a focus on S/4HANA transformation and ongoing optimization.
This position acts as the primary bridge between Finance and Technology, ensuring solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned to business priorities.
Job Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Agile Delivery:
  • Serve as Product Owner for SAP Finance processes and capabilities; own and manage the product backlog; prioritize work based on business value, risk, regulatory needs, and technical dependencies; participate in agile ceremonies; accept delivered functionality against business and control expectations.

SAP Finance Functional Leadership:
  • Act as SAP Finance SME; translate business requirements into functional designs; guide SAP FI/CO configuration; partner with Finance on close, reporting, audit, and control needs.

S/4HANA & Transformation Support:
  • Contribute to S/4HANA design, migration, and optimization; leverage Universal Journal, Fiori, and embedded analytics; identify opportunities to simplify and standardize finance processes.

Technical & Integration Collaboration:
  • Partner with SAP technical and integration teams; participate in solution reviews, test design, integration testing, and UAT; support issue resolution and documentation.

Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Serve as primary liaison between Finance and IT; communicate scope, risks, and delivery impacts; support change management, training, and user adoption.

Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Experience Requirements
Required
  • 7+ years of experience in SAP Finance (FI/CO) roles (functional, business analyst, or solution lead).
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance (implementation, migration, or steady-state).
  • Experience working in an Agile or SAFe delivery environment.
  • Strong understanding of core finance and accounting processes.
  • Ability to translate business needs into functional SAP solutions.
  • One full life cycle ERP implementation

Preferred
  • Prior experience as a Product Owner or equivalent role.
  • Experience with SAP Fiori, Embedded Analytics, or finance integrations.
  • Experience supporting large ERP transformation programs.
  • SAFe PO/PM or Scrum Product Owner certification.
  • Jira experience a plus

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
