Job description

For more information, visit USA Hire Assessment.Qualifications:One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-09 for GS-11 or GS-11 for GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience for the GS-11 level is defined as: coordinating the work of a team responsible for resolving civilian pay or financial inquiries, or contributing to the management of daily operations, including workload distribution and quality control, or assigning and reviewing the work of subordinates to ensure accuracy and compliance with civilian pay policies, or training employees on resolving complex pay issues and using financial systems.
Specialized experience for the GS-12 level is defined as: Managing and directing finance operations, including developing and implementing policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and internal controls for a civilian pay program, or supervising subordinate staff, which involves assigning and reviewing work, or providing expert advisory services on complex and controversial payroll problems, interpreting and applying pertinent regulations, and ensuring proper interface with financial systems, or analyzing operational effectiveness and preparing financial reports and briefings for higher-level management.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.Education:GS-11 Substitution of Education for Experience: Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed higher-level graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
