Foundations Behavioral Health provides training opportunities for practicum and internship for students studying social work, counseling, psychology, applied behavior analysis, music therapy, art therapy, recreational therapy, and other related fields. Established in 1964, Foundations Behavioral Health provides treatment in a homelike environment located on a 12 acre campus in Bucks County, PA. Foundations provides a full continuum of care for children, adolescents, and young adults spanning hospitalization to residential and academic services.

  • Master’s student in Human Services field from accredited college or university interested in obtaining unpaid internship hours.
  • Experience with Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, and Developmental Disabilities preferred.
  • Experience in an inpatient or residential treatment setting a plus!

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient with a computer and the required software programs as applicable to the job functions, including electronic mail, word processing, excel, and various databases
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of performing written or typed record keeping and correspondence as it relates to job functions.
  • Capable of rapport building with youth and their families to facilitate their engagement in the therapeutic services.
  • Willingness to learn and engage in case management and aftercare planning
