Due to our continued expansion and growth, we now have an opportunity for a full-time Financial Reporting Manager at our Headquarters located in Irvine, CA.


Job Summary & Essential Functions:


The following describes in general terms the purpose and scope of the position.

Working collaboratively with various departments, the Accounting Manager will ensure appropriate accounting and internal controls are present and operating effectively across the company. The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations and contributing to the development and implementation of best practices and process improvements.


Required Skills

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing the preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements at both the individual entity and consolidated levels. This role leads the monthly close reporting process, manages the preparation of audited financial statement footnotes, ensures compliance with bank covenant and PE sponsor reporting requirements, and supports treasury operations including cash forecasting. The ideal candidate is a technically strong accountant with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment.



ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Financial Reporting & Monthly Close
  • Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP financial statements for all legal entities and at the consolidated level
  • Own the financial reporting calendar and ensure timely delivery of close packages to internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate with accounting operations to ensure completeness and accuracy of general ledger activity prior to reporting
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules as needed during the close process
  • Develop and maintain standardized reporting templates and continuously improve the efficiency of the close-to-report cycle



Audit Support & Financial Statement Footnotes


  • Draft and maintain all footnote disclosures for the company’s audited financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Serve as a primary liaison with external auditors, managing the audit timeline, PBC list, and information requests
  • Research and document the accounting treatment for complex or non-routine transactions
  • Monitor new and emerging accounting standards (ASC/ASU updates) and assess their impact on the company’s financial reporting
  • Bank Compliance & Private Equity Reporting
  • Prepare and submit bank covenant compliance certificates and borrowing base calculations on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Monitor financial covenant ratios (leverage, fixed charge coverage, etc.) and flag potential issues proactively
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for private equity sponsors, including financial summaries, KPIs, variance analyses, and management commentary
  • Support the preparation of board-level financial materials and ad hoc investor requests


Cash Forecasting & Treasury


  • Develop and maintain rolling 13-week cash flow forecasts and longer-term liquidity projections
  • Monitor daily cash positions across bank accounts and coordinate with AP/AR teams to optimize working capital
  • Support limited treasury functions including wire transfers, intercompany funding, and bank relationship management
  • Assist with debt draw/pay-down scheduling and interest calculations under the company’s credit facility


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA designation (active or inactive)
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting/financial reporting experience, including experience with multi-entity consolidations
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including footnote disclosure requirements
  • Prior experience with external audits (public accounting background preferred)
  • Experience with bank compliance reporting and financial covenant calculations
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Preferred
  • Experience in a PE-backed or sponsor-owned company
  • Exposure to treasury operations, cash forecasting, or debt compliance
  • Big 4 or national firm audit experience
  • Experience implementing or improving financial reporting processes and systems
  • Familiarity with financial consolidation tools (e.g., Hyperion, OneStream, Workiva)
