Job description

Position: Financial Reporting Associate
Department: Finance
Reporting to: Controller
Location: Topeka, KS - Onsite
Overview:
We're looking for a Financial Reporting Associate to join our Finance team. In this role, you'll play an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting processes, reconciling accounts, and helping ensure the financial health of multiple entities across the organization.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an accounting background who wants to grow their career in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with strong mentorship and development opportunities.
What you'll do:
  • Prepare and enter journal entries accurately and timely
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Support financial reporting processes for multiple entities
  • Review expense coding, department allocations, and credit card transactions
  • Process intercompany billings and allocations
  • Upload and validate financial data files in NetSuite
  • Assist with budgeting processes and reporting needs
  • Support treasury functions including automated clearing house and wire payments
  • Help prepare documentation and schedules for external audits
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and process improvement projects
  • Partner with Finance leadership and team members to improve accuracy and efficiency

Experience you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of reconciliations/general ledger activity
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
  • Positive attitude and desire to grow professionally
