Program Manager (Huntsville, AL)

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must possess a Secret Clearance

The Program Manager (PM) serves as the single Contractor POC for the Government with full authority to make contract decisions for the company. Responsible for overall contract management, performance, quality, safety, and direct oversight of all personnel. The PM oversees and coordinates different related projects included in the contract to ensure they benefit one another and meet the customer’s stated goals. Main duties include organizing various programs and activities to improve effectiveness and efficiencies, build and execute long-term goals for the customer and developing, implementing, and monitoring program budgets.

Essential Duties, Skills and Responsibilities

  • Overall contract oversight
  • Liaison with key Government and corporate personnel
  • Organize daily activities
  • Devise new programs/goals that support the customer’s objectives
  • Work with stakeholders to discuss and develop budgets, program status and plans
  • Evaluate and assess the programs’ strengths and weaknesses
  • Monitor projects and oversee On-site managers to ensure goals are met
  • High-level leadership, management, teamwork and motivational skills
  • Schedule and manage tasks effectively
  • Possess conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
  • Implement and monitor effective risk management procedures
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Cost control and budgeting skills
  • Organizational and multitasking skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • Over 8 yrs managing Government contracts;
  • Over 3 yrs Army logistics experience
  • Bachelor’s degree  
  • Secret Clearance required
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain installation access.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior U.S. Army logistics and data management experience

Security / Compliance Requirements

  • Secret Clearance required
  • Must comply with all installation access requirements.
  • Must complete all required Government training.
