Job description

Allied Printing Services Inc. is a family-ran, full-service commercial and financial printer that's been leading the industry since 1949. Now, we're looking for skilled Customer Service Representatives to join our growing production team.Lead Pressman-Web
The Lead Web Pressman is responsible for the complete setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of multi-color sheetfed offset printing presses while ensuring superior print quality, maximum productivity, and safe operations. This role serves as the technical leader on the press, mentoring press assistants, coordinating production priorities, and consistently meeting customer specifications and production schedules.What You'll Do:
  • Set up, operate, and oversee production on multi-unit web offset printing presses.
  • Review production schedules and job tickets to ensure proper materials, plates, inks, paper, and customer specifications are prepared.
  • Perform press make-readies while minimizing downtime and paper waste.
  • Monitor registration, color density, ink and water balance, web tension, cutoff accuracy, and print quality throughout production.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and print quality issues to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Lead, train, and mentor Second Pressmen, Roll Tenders, and Press Assistants.
  • Coordinate production priorities with Production Planning, Prepress, Maintenance, and Quality departments.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance including roller settings, blanket changes, lubrication, and minor repairs.
  • Complete production reports, quality documentation, waste reporting, and downtime records.
What You Bring:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience operating commercial web offset printing presses.
  • Previous leadership or lead pressman experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of web offset printing processes, color management, registration, and quality control.
  • Experience running heatset and/or coldset web presses, Goss, Heidelberg, Manroland, Komori, or similar web offset presses.
  • Thorough understanding of press mechanics, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to diagnose print defects and implement corrective actions quickly.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple production priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills with experience using production reporting or ERP systems.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements:
Walking 50% | Standing 50%. Lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying 50 lbs. and more.

Shifts Available: 1st shift 8:00am- 4:00pm, 2nd shift 4:00pm-12:00 am (12 % differential), 3rd shift 12:00am-8:00am (15%differntial)
