Responsibilities
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
  • Oversee financial compliance: Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and implement internal controls to safeguard hotel assets
  • Manage financial planning and analysis: Prepare the annual plan, projections, and budgets, providing key insights and counsel to hotel management, corporate offices, and ownership
  • Monitor and approve transactions: Review and authorize hotel sales, purchases, salaries, and expenses to ensure financial integrity and cost control
  • Advise hotel leadership: Assist department heads in interpreting financial data and recommend strategies to maximize profitability
  • Inspire and develop the team: Supervise, coach, and mentor team members; conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development opportunities, and recognize achievements to build, retain, and engage a high-performing team
