Job description

Are you ready to lead financial planning and analysis for one of Amazon's most innovative healthcare initiatives. We're looking for a Financial Analyst I to support and drive FP&A mechanisms for Amazon One Medical in a dynamic matrix environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape financial processes that align with Amazon standards while supporting a rapidly evolving healthcare business.
In this position, you'll lead month-end close processes, prepare comprehensive financial reports, conduct leadership reviews, and coordinate with Amazon Health Services (AHS) FP&A for planning and reporting

You'll be instrumental in translating business strategy into fiscally sound long-term financial plans, serving as the foundation for annual and 3-year planning exercises. This role requires someone who maintains constant curiosity about business fundamentals and input drivers to effectively audit whether inputs translate to financial outputs.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive long-range financial planning for the business, translating strategy into fiscally sound plans that guide annual and 3-year planning exercises for the organization.
- Develop and maintain financial models and analyses that deliver insights for operational and growth business decisions, challenging assumptions when necessary.
- Lead FP&A mechanisms for Amazon One Medical, including month-end close support, preparation of monthly financial reports and bridges, and coordination with AHS FP&A for downstream stakeholder reporting.
- Identify opportunities and implement process improvements to match Amazon standards, ensuring reporting alignment between AHS FP&A P&Ls.
- Partner with business leaders to provide strategic guidance, creating structure around complex financial challenges and translating them into actionable insights.

Your typical day begins with reviewing financial data and key performance indicators for Amazon One Medical. During month-end close, you'll analyze financial results, prepare variance reports, and develop insightful bridges that explain performance trends

You'll lead financial reviews with leadership teams, clearly articulating complex financial concepts and providing strategic recommendations. Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with business partners to understand operational drivers, audit financial inputs, and coordinate with AHS FP&A teams to ensure alignment across reporting structures.
