Job description

Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role on the Amazon Payment Products Finance team, primarily supporting Amazon's North American Credit products. The person will be part of a team responsible for long and short term financial planning, controllership of monthly financial reporting, developing and reporting on financial and operational performance metrics, and providing analytical support for Senior Business Management. This position will be a key risk/controllership gateway for the payments business, and will work cross functionally with business and accounting teams. The ideal candidate must have excellent analytical skills, strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Key job responsibilities
- Build, iterate, and automate financial reporting to support monthly and quarterly business reviews.
- Conduct variance analysis to generate insights and identify drivers of business performance.
- Build financial forecasting models based on past performance and expected impact of future business initiatives.
- Build controllership mechanisms to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaboration with business partners on new initiatives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- Experience working with stakeholders

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
