Business Development and Financial Analysis Manager
Job Summary:
The Business Development and Financial Analysis Manager is a critical role supporting 2 companies in the group.
The position reports directly to the CFO and provides business development and financial support to the operating teams at both companies. This position requires the employee to possess a high level of professional maturity and be poised to handle a fast paced yet casual environment. This position will work closely with operating executives and their teams in developing project budgets and client proposals by project by researching optimal revenue and cost models. In addition, the role will periodically report on actual company and project performance to budgets. Exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills required with proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office software. Operating with a positive can-do attitude is a must.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Work directly with company leadership and parent company throughout all phases of business development and financial analysis activities
  • Perform company, industry, market and competitor research and due diligence synthesizing relevant information
  • Use research and financial analysis to draft executive summaries, information memorandums and other operational / marketing documents
  • Prepare weekly dashboards of all companies' cash balances, spend to date and periodically update cash flow projections and outstanding loan agreements / balances
  • Support development, due diligence and preparation of client presentations and offer general client service and team support for client meetings
  • Build and maintain pro forma financial statement and modeling analysis
  • Draft situation analyses, pitch materials, information memoranda, management presentations and term sheets in support of client proposals
  • Work with outsourced accounting firm to ensure revenues and expenses are categorized per project
  • Work with operations leadership to establish budgets by project and provide variance explanations to actual project revenues and expenses
  • Contribute to the development and communication of proposals and advice to current and prospective clients that conveys a compelling value proposition to clients
  • Ensure quality of financial information, models and deliverables by having strong attention to detail
  • Build detailed financial models to evaluate performance under various operating scenarios
  • Manage client proposal logistics, including: update web-based deal and contact management systems, develop weekly client project status reports, administer electronic data rooms, presentation binding, and so forth
  • Serve as the finance project manager on teams; help to manage the deal process from origination to execution
  • Involved in both corporate finance and business development activities
  • Develop annual operating plan and long-term projections with leadership and periodic forecasts of operations and projects
  • Support presentation of month financials overall and by project to senior leadership compared to budget and prior year
