The Role and the Team

This is a great opportunity for a Project Manager to join Proofpoint and help with our finance initiatives. You will have the opportunity to enhance procedures and make new ones to improve over-all processes. You will regularly communicate with cross-functional team members to understand business needs and triage requirements to meet milestones. The Project Manager will have the ability to "think big", be creative and have fun while ensuring change is adopted over the long term.

Location: This is a hybrid role based in our Sunnyvale HQ, 4 days a week.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Drive alignment and coordination across prioritized Finance initiatives
  • Support the Business Transformation team in optimizing project prioritization to ensure resources are focused on key business deliverables
  • Partner with functional leaders to ensure the right core team resources are assigned and performing effectively
  • Lead program planning processes, ensuring requirements are clearly defined and aligned with customer needs and experience
  • Guide cross-functional teams through problem resolution, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Define, delegate, and evaluate roles, responsibilities, goals, and deliverables for assigned projects
  • Communicate program updates to functional management and executive leadership
  • Lead change management efforts, including impact analysis, communication strategies and UAT
  • Think creatively and develop innovative approaches to drive long-term adoption of change

What You Bring to the Team

  • 5+ years of project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering both strategic and tactical initiatives
  • Experience in a SaaS environment preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Quote-to-Cash and Core Finance processes
  • Familiarity with CPQ and ERP systems
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience working across functions and cultures
  • Ability to engage with executive leadership, escalate issues, and propose effective solutions
  • Proven ability to foster collaboration and teamwork
  • Experience in business process improvement initiatives
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive informed decision-making
  • Excellent facilitation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts

SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:

Base Pay Range: 98,900.00 - 155,430.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 78,800.00 - 123,805.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 70,400.00 - 110,605.00 USD
