Job description

As an Operations Finance Manager, Aerospace, you will support the businesses by providing accurate data and analysis related to product costs, manufacturing and distribution operations, and variances. You will manage the Operations Finance activities for numerous US plant locations improving the Aerospace department. You will report to the Senior Manager, Operations Finance. The position will be placed in PPG's General Office in Pittsburgh, PA and will follow PPG's hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team through coaching, goal setting, training and standardization of responsibilities, collaboration and implementation of process improvements.
  • You will oversee a group of 8 Operations Finance team members, subject to fluctuate slightly.
  • Main contact and partner to Operations and Finance leadership.
  • Oversight of month end close activities related to manufacturing operations and preparation of internal management reporting.
  • Support team in their responsibilities of providing the business with profit analysis in communication of manufacturing spend results and variances, purchase price variance, period costs, estimates, and manufacturing strategy.
  • Manage completion of inventory accounts including trend analysis, monthly account reconciliation approvals, physical inventory audits, and physical inventory reconciliation approvals.
  • You will support the team in completion of the annual budget and product re-costs to support accurate inventory valuation and decisions focused on product profitability.
  • Support ad hoc Operations, Finance, and other function requests, such as capital projects and product costing analyses.
  • Ensure team members procedures are performed following internal control requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
  • 6+ years of finance and accounting experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership Skills.
  • Experience with large Enterprise Resource Planning systems such as Oracle, SAP, or QAD, and technical proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Willingness to travel to manufacturing plant locations on a quarterly basis.
