Job description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the overall supervision of the Accounting Department to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of financial information. This individual will also be responsible for assisting with various financial analysis and projections, coordination of physical inventories, and other projects as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensures timely and accurate monthly financial reporting including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Profit & Loss Statements, Operating Statements and other financial reports.
  • Responsible for monthly General Ledger closings, which include preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Researches and provides explanations for significant financial statement variances.
  • Responsible for the coordination of semi-annual physical inventories
  • Responsible for the coordination of semi-annual Store projections
  • Addresses questions on reports from Stores and management and provides understanding on the use of the reports.
  • Assists in the financial analysis and forecasts for monitoring and evaluating company performance, cash flows, store operations, store leases and construction expenditures.
  • Works closely with store and department managers regarding financial information and the implementation of new procedures and policies related to new initiatives.
  • Provides training to Office and Store personnel as needed or requested. • Supports and interacts with all levels of the company.
  • Recruits, develops and monitors staff, providing counsel and training as required.
  • Responsible for preparing and reviewing semi-annual performance evaluations of staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • This position requires the employee to work onsite at our Corporate Office location. Remote work options are not available for this role.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting.
  • Public Accounting experience preferred.
  • Five years accounting and management experience.
