Job Description
  • Role: Admin/Clerical - Financial Analyst
  • Location: Cary, NC
  • Duration: 6+ Months

Job Description:
  • Assist organization with state unclaimed property matters, including review of books and records to identify unclaimed property risk.
  • Assist with state voluntary disclosure agreements and audits for client companies.
  • Assist with unclaimed property audit mitigation reviewing audit work papers, schedules, supporting documentation, etc.
  • Gather data and prepare unclaimed property filings for client companies with different state organizations.
  • Track and respond to Unclaimed Property responses from state and property holders, and follow-up accordingly with various departments for resolutions
  • Assists with special projects within assigned department

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • Current or recent unclaimed property experience OR Subject Matter Expert for Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Must have an advanced understanding of accounting to work with balance sheets, journal entries, and payment processing,
  • Advanced ERP (especially SAP, also Oracle if possible) research skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
  • Ability to clearly articulate in written form what their investigation concludes for ERP transactions under their review
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of US unclaimed property a plus
  • Familiarity with researching state and local tax and unclaimed property laws and regulations
