Job description

We are recruiting a Senior Finance Manager for a growing Manufacturing company in the RTP area. In this role, you will partner across Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations. This role will own product cost visibility, gross margin analysis, inventory performance, and operational financial planning. The ideal candidate brings a strong manufacturing cost accounting foundation Responsibilities: Lead financial oversight of product costs, inventory valuation, and gross margin performance across global operations. Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations leadership to improve cost transparency and drive informed decision-making. Analyze standard costs, manufacturing variances, inventory movements, and overhead allocations to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for product costs, inventory, and operational spending. Partner with regional finance and operations teams to ensure consistency in costing methodologies, reporting, and financial controls. Support new product introductions, sourcing initiatives, and operational projects through cost analysis and financial modeling. Oversee month-end close activities related to inventory, cost of sales, reserves, accruals, and related balance sheet accounts. Enhance reporting, dashboards, and analytics to improve visibility into operational and financial performance. Support audit, compliance, and process improvement initiatives while maintaining strong governance around costing practices. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline. Strong manufacturing cost accounting background, including standard costing, inventory accounting, BOMs, transfer pricing concepts, and variance analysis. Progressive finance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally including experience as a Plant Controller, Manufacturing Controller, Cost Accounting Manager, or Operations Finance leader. Demonstrated ability to partner with Supply Chain and Operations stakeholders across multi-site or global organizations.
