Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, IFC, Sundance TV and WE tv; and film distribution labels IFC Films and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.
We are currently seeking a Coordinator, Operations to join our Films Group Team based in our New York, New York Headquarters.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Systems Efficiency and Best Practices:
  • Evaluate existing operational systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing efficient solutions.
  • Develop and implement best practices for administrative and operational procedures in collaboration with the Director of Operations, General Manager and lead Theater Manager.

Film Festival Operations:
  • Collaborate in operations and production logistics of DOC NYC, including venue management. Support Director of Operations and DOC NYC staff in hiring and onboarding key operations staff (IC roles).
  • Collaborate and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless festival operations.

Compliance, Regulations and Infrastructure:
  • Support the organization in adhering to regulatory requirements, such as PCI Compliance, accessibility standards, infrastructure compliance (FDNY, DOB, and other city agencies) and state liquor laws.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and implement necessary measures to ensure compliance.
  • Interface between projection and programming staff to clarify project needs and streamline communications.
  • Support print traffic efforts, including receiving, tracking and sending out shipments of prints and DCP
  • Support intershow and preshow content with trailer inventory tracking, creating on-screen slide content, and organizing filmed Q&A library
  • Take lead on facilities maintenance and special projects, at direction of General Manager and Director of Operations, including lighting, building repairs, exterior banner placement and various installations, and other physical labor. Source and contract external vendors as needed.
  • Moderate Q&As and run lead on special events as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Prefered)
  • Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree
  • 2 years of experience in art house theaters, film festivals or facilities
  • Previous knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, including troubleshooting of mechanical and electronic devices.
  • Experience with Photoshop and non-linear editing systems, such as Final Cut, Adobe Premiere, Davinci Resolve
  • Familiarity with Airtable a plus.

The base compensation for this position is $50,000 - $55,000 commensurate with experience.
