Job description

Prime Video's Global Film Acquisitions team is seeking a creative, analytically-minded, and technically fluent content executive to join as a Content Insight Analyst. This role sits at the intersection of data analytics and AI-driven innovation, supporting our film acquisition strategies and deals globally across streaming and theatrical.
The ideal candidate combines strong quantitative skills with hands-on experience deploying AI/ML tools and automation to streamline analytical workflows. You will perform traditional content valuation and performance analysis while also identifying and building AI-powered solutions that improve how our team evaluates, models, and tracks film acquisitions globally. You are a critical thinker with strong attention to detail, comfortable working across multiple territories and stakeholders, cool under pressure, and energized by the opportunity to reshape how a content team works.
Key job responsibilities
• Strong experience in writing SQL queries, building dashboards, and superior excel skills.
• Write high-quality, detailed and data-supported content strategy documents which are presented to senior executives within Amazon Studios
• Audit business metrics, perform deep dive analysis on problems to understand root causes and making decisions based on data
• Perform analysis which quantifies the impact that movies will have on customer engagement
• Perform ongoing analyses which support day-to-day content planning and content licensing activities
• Maintain a can-do attitude and willingness and flexibility to solve problems at short notice, using any tools necessary
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages
- Experience working with Excel and large-scale data mining and reporting tools such as Python, SQL, or Tableau, or experience developing financial models in Excel with advanced functions (pivot tables, macros, VBA, Power Query)
- Bachelor's degree or above in a quantitative field, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science experience
- Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML tools in a professional workflow (e.g., prompt engineering, LLM-powered automation, Python scripting, or deploying AI-assisted analytics)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders
- Experience in film or TV content acquisition, licensing, distribution, or programming
- Familiarity with content valuation methodologies, viewership modeling, or customer engagement analytics
- Hands-on experience building generative AI solutions (e.g., custom GPTs, RAG pipelines, AI-assisted research tools, or workflow automation using LLMs)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
