ABC57 News in South Bend, Indiana is seeking an Executive Producer to lead our morning show team to success. 


About the Role

Manage the newsroom, lead the editorial process, and make quick, informed decisions during breaking news situations

Dedicate time to capturing breaking news and weather coverage across all platforms

Mentor producers with a focus on growth and ratings success 

Inspire creativity, foster a collaborative environment, and support team development

Lead story selection and oversee reporter assignments


What You'll Do

Delegate daily assignments and breaking news responsibilities

Create efficient workflows and maintain a strong sense of urgency

Oversee broadcast quality control, including spell checking, factual accuracy, and fostering creativity

Communicate effectively across all departments

Coordinate closely with other news managers to ensure cohesive coverage

Perform other duties, as assigned


What You'll Need

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, TV/Film or a related field

Minimum of 5 years' experience in Television or Radio Broadcast/Production 

Line producing experienced (required)

Experience with Avid iNews or other rundown software 

Strong news judgement, leadership abilities, and organizational skills

Basic familiarity with Microsoft 365 platforms (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive,etc.) 

On-site work only (required); must be available to work any shift
