We create and curate celebrated series and films across distinct brands and make them available to audiences everywhere. Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, Independent Film Company, Sundance TV and We TV; and film distribution labels Independent Film Company and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.
We are currently seeking a Executive Producer to join our Marketing Production & Operations team based in our New York, NY offices.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Showrunning & Production Leadership
  • Act as showrunner across assigned special projects, events, and productions, owning execution from concept through final delivery
  • Pressure-test requests and briefs, setting clear scope, priorities, and tradeoffs across multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Work with Video, Design, and Copywriting Production, Creative, Marketing Strategy, Commercial, Legal, IT, and executive stakeholders to define approach across scripts, budgets, timelines, and execution
  • Evaluate briefs, scripts, boards, and creative treatments for feasibility prior to greenlight
  • Manage all aspects of production, including production partners, talent, bidding, timelines, on-set/on-site execution and wrap.
  • Own the run of show and key decisions, maintaining clarity, pace, and forward momentum
  • Partner closely with Video Production, Post Production, and Design teams-who execute physical production and post-to ensure final video and design assets meet creative, technical, and brand standards.

Internal Planning Moments & Executive Presentations
  • Showrun internal planning forums, leadership meetings, and presentations
  • Partner with stakeholders to shape narrative and structure content
  • Create and oversee development of decks and supporting materials, ensuring clarity and quality
  • Coordinate presenters to align on message, flow, and timing
  • Lead speaker preparation and rehearsals
  • Partner with Events teams on logistics while owning content, flow, and delivery

Budget, Vendors & Business Affairs
  • Track production budgets in real time and report costs as needed
  • Manage vendor relationships and external partners to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Partner with Legal and Business Affairs to facilitate contracts, talent agreements, and content clearances, ensuring alignment with creative intent and production timelines
  • Ensure all production activity aligns with company policies and standards

Cross-Functional Coordination & Project Management
  • Serve as primary point of contact for cross-functional teams, including Creative, Strategy, Commercial, and more
  • Align teams on deliverables, timelines, and expectations
  • Maintain simple trackers and timelines to keep work visible and on track
  • Anticipate and resolve issues quickly, communicating clearly across teams
  • Refine workflows where needed to improve efficiency without overengineering

Team Leadership
  • Manage and support team members, freelancers, and production resources as needed
  • Set expectations for ownership, communication, and quality
  • Maintain a high standard of execution across all work

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 7-10+ years of experience in production, or a related field within media, entertainment, or live events
  • Proven ability to act as lead producer across complex productions, presentations, or live/internal events
  • Strong command of production, post-production, budgeting, vendor management, and live event execution
  • Strong editorial instincts and attention to story, pacing, and presentation quality
  • Proactive problem solver with the ability to make decisions and communicate clearly in real time
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across creative teams, stakeholders, and external partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AirTable, Teams, and similar production/collaboration tools
  • Willingness to travel as needed for events (domestic and international)
  • Must be willing to work in person in New York, NY
  • Available to work evenings or weekends as required by production timelines

The base compensation for this position is $140,000 - $150,000 commensurate with experience.
