We're not just another IT company — we're the architects of digital transformation across entertainment, staffing, legal, government, finance, education, and events industries.

You’re not just selling IT — you’re delivering mission-critical technology and rapid-response solutions that keep organizations operational when every second counts. Our fully equipped offices in major metro markets serve as innovation and logistics hubs where cutting-edge IT, AV, and interactive technologies come to life. Every day brings new challenges, new relationships, and new opportunities to make an impact.

Job Summary:

As a Business Development Executive focused on Incident Response, IT Services, and Technology Rentals, you’ll drive revenue growth across SmartSource’s full portfolio, with a strategic emphasis on rapid-response technology solutions for the legal, government (local, state, and federal), and private sector markets.

Your mission: help organizations prepare for and respond to emergencies — from cyber incidents to natural disasters — by connecting them with SmartSource’s comprehensive suite of technology services and rental assets.

Offerings include:

  • Technology Equipment Rentals — PCs, laptops, peripherals, copiers, printers, and other devices for short- or long-term needs
  • Incident Response & Cybersecurity Services (breach containment, data recovery, risk mitigation)
  • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Solutions (temporary networks, mobile IT setups, backup systems)
  • Managed IT, Cloud, and Help Desk Services
  • M365 Licensing and Tiered Support Packages

Responsibilities:

Incident Response, Disaster Recovery & Cybersecurity

  • Lead sales efforts for incident response, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Engage with clients facing urgent technology disruptions caused by data breaches, system failures, or natural disasters such as tornadoes, hurricanes, or wildfires.
  • Position SmartSource as a trusted partner for crisis response, recovery planning, and continuity enablement.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to deliver fast, reliable, and scalable response solutions.

Government & Legal Market Expansion

  • Develop new business opportunities within local, state, and federal government agencies and the legal sector.
  • Navigate public procurement processes and compliance requirements (CJIS, FedRAMP, HIPAA, NIST).
  • Pursue RFPs, cooperative purchasing opportunities, and preferred vendor relationships to build recurring revenue streams.
  • Position SmartSource as the go-to technology partner for emergency preparedness, secure infrastructure deployment, and mobile IT operations.

IT Services & Technology Rentals

  • Drive sales of managed IT, help desk, cloud, and Microsoft 365 licensing solutions.
  • Expand revenue through equipment rentals — including PCs, laptops, peripherals, copiers, and printers — supporting emergency response, temporary offices, legal review centers, and government continuity operations.
  • Leverage SmartSource’s logistics and field deployment capabilities to deliver fast, nationwide mobilization during crises.
  • Use a land-and-expand strategy to convert short-term engagements into long-term managed service relationships.

Territory & Relationship Development

  • Build and manage a pipeline across key verticals, maintaining a balanced focus on proactive sales and rapid-response needs.
  • Conduct in-depth discovery to identify client pain points and build customized IT and recovery solutions.
  • Cultivate trusted relationships with executives, procurement leaders, and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting in Salesforce CRM.

Qualifications:

Preferred Experience

  • 5+ years of B2B technology or IT services sales with proven success in incident response, disaster recovery, managed services, cybersecurity, or technology rentals.
  • Experience selling into local, state, or federal government organizations and/or legal sector accounts.
  • Understanding of disaster preparedness, emergency operations, and continuity planning a strong plus.
  • Background in MSP, MSSP, or VAR environments preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field; technical certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.) a plus.

Technical & Professional Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity frameworks, and business continuity solutions.
  • Understanding of hardware rental lifecycle management and logistics coordination.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft 365.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of balancing proactive sales with rapid-response execution.
