Machine Operator/Filling Operator The Filling Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently filling aerosol containers with propellant gases, ensuring compliance with all safety standards, operational procedures, and quality control requirements. Job Duties: Gas Filling: Operate specialized equipment to fill aerosol containers with propellant gases, ensuring accurate filling according to established specifications and safety standards. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, particularly when working with hazardous gases and materials, to maintain a safe working environment. Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain propellant filling machinery and related equipment, including performing routine checks and basic troubleshooting. Quality Control: Inspect filled containers for defects, leaks, and quality issues. Report any discrepancies or deviations from standards to the Production Supervisor. Perform hourly quality check to ensure compliance with customers specifications. Documentation: Complete and maintain detailed logs of filling operations, including gas usage, quantities filled, and any issues encountered during the filling process. Inventory Management: Monitor gas levels and inventory to ensure an adequate supply for production. Notify management of the need for refills or replacement. Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the gas room and surrounding areas to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Collaboration: Work closely with other production team members to ensure smooth production flow and meet production targets. Qualifications Proficient in reading and writing in English. Ability to read and interpret machine manuals, blueprints, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Basic knowledge of machine mechanics and troubleshooting. Strong focus on quality control and the ability to identify issues in both the machinery and the final product. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with coworkers, supervisors, and maintenance staff. Willingness to work on different shifts, including weekends, overtime, and rotating schedules as required. Basic computer skills for tracking production data and reporting. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or packaging environment, especially in aerosol or similar industries, is a plus. Physical Demands Ability to stand for long periods, lift up or move up to 50 lbs, and handle physically demanding tasks.
