Job description

Summary Of Position

The Pouch Operator sets up and operates pouch making machine that convert laminated films into pouches.


1st Shift - 5am-3:30pm- Monday- Thursday - 20.00 hr.

2nd Shift - 3:15pm-1:45am - Monday-Thursday - $22.00 hr.


**Ability to lift up to 50lbs**


Functions and Responsibilities

  • Meets or exceeds prescribed job standers for the line speeds, scrap and set-up times.
  • Report any necessary maintenance of the machine to engineering department.
  • Report any unsafe working conditions to the production supervisor.
  • Read job specification and previous run date (if available) to determine machine adjustments and material reequipments. Ensures job is in order prior to machine set-up.
  • Measure work pieces dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
  • Perform required quality testing on product produced.
  • Perform minor machine maintenance such as zipper cloth, dies, seal bars and punches.
