Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ITEM TIME JOB FUNCTIONS

1. 30% Follows approved procedures while operating RO filler equipment filling drums with RO puree product. Ensures product quality based on specifications. Performs set-up and makes adjustments while in operation.

2. 30% Transports empty and full drums onto and off of scale to shipping area

3. 20% Prepares 55 gallon drums for filling

4. 5% Performs preventative maintenance as prescribed in equipment operation manuals

5. 5% Follows approved procedures completing CIP and COP of RO filler and room sanitation

6. 5% Completes production, quality and sanitation paperwork

7. 5% Performs other duties as needed or assigned by superior

POSITION DIMENSIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level and Focus:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Years and Type of Related Experience Required:

Food processing experience in a technically advanced facility

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Interpersonal and Communication:

Ability to function with minimal supervision, including the capacity to learn and follow processing-CIP and sanitation procedures-safety rules and other directives. Ability to speak and write English

Technical and Analytical:

Basic math skills, process equipment problem solving aptitude, mechanical aptitude, ability to operate a forklift, ability to learn RO filler control panel.

Administrative and Operations:

Aptitude for detailed documentation of operation including down time, fill volume, fill temperature and drum counts per shift

Physical Demands:

Agile, standing for long periods of time, bending, reaching, lifting 50+ lbs, climbing stairs, ability to work various shifts

Work Environment:

Food plant, high noise levels, subject to cold, hot and humid conditions, wet floors, forklift traffic and exposure to wet and dry cleaning agents

Special Equipment Used:

RO filler machine, high pressure wash station, hot water station, pallet jack, scale and printer and refrigerated vans. Two way radio for internal use only
