Job description

Position: Business Immigration Paralegal

Location: New York, NY

Onsite Logstics: (3) days a week

Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 with additional OT and Bonus

Responsibilities


  • Handle case preparation and filing of petitions with government agencies; including, document gathering, document review, case drafting, and case filing.
  • Assist lawyers in the preparation of documents, forms, and letters utilizing web-based software and adapting resources when required to deviate from templates.
  • Communicate and follow-up with attorneys, clients, and government agencies to ensure delivery and receipt of materials.
  • Schedule and calendar meetings and monitor timelines and case status.
  • Conduct research to obtain information such as, but not limited to, industry or company information, wage data, or processing procedures and timelines.
  • Evaluate cases, relay concerns, and proactively escalate to attorneys.
  • Administrative duties, including file organization, scanning, e-filing, billing, engagement letter preparation, and file maintenance.
  • Extensive experience with H-1B visas, L-1A and L-1B visas, TN visas, E-2 visas, PERM, I-140s for EB-1, EB-2 and EB-3


Education Requirements


  • A minimum of 4 years' experience as an immigration paralegal, preferably in a law firm.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
