About West's Easy Light Beer and Ska Brewing

West's Easy Light Beer is a crisp, clean, easy-drinking light lager from Ska Brewing, created for beer drinkers who want an approachable, lower-alcohol option that fits everyday occasions. Based in Durango, Colorado, Ska Brewing has been brewing beer with character since 1995 and is known for its independent spirit, community-minded culture, and award-winning craft beers.

About the Job

The Utah State Sales Representative will be primarily responsible for growing the West's Easy Light brand across Utah while supporting Ska Brewing's broader portfolio in the market. This role will serve as the primary field representative for Easy Light in Utah, building strong relationships with distributors, retailers, bars, restaurants, event partners, and key accounts. The ideal candidate is energetic, self-directed, organized, and excited to grow a new light beer brand in a competitive, outdoor-oriented market.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Grow sales, distribution, visibility, and velocity for West's Easy Light Beer throughout Utah.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Utah distributor partners, with frequent communication on sales priorities, sales reporting, inventory needs, new opportunities, promotions, and market execution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with on-premise and off-premise accounts, including bars, restaurants, grocery, convenience, liquor, specialty beer retailers, and chain accounts.
  • Secure new placements for Easy Light in package, display, cold box, menu, and feature opportunities.
  • Work closely with distributor sales teams to set market goals, conduct ride-withs, review account priorities, and ensure consistent follow-through.
  • Execute brand-building activity including samplings, promotions, festivals, events, launches, and account activations.
  • Represent a consistent and compelling Easy Light brand message centered on approachability, refreshment, value, and everyday drinkability.
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities in key Utah markets, including Salt Lake City, Park City, Ogden, Provo and surrounding resort, outdoor, and tourism-driven communities.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, pricing, displays, tap handles, and retail execution.
  • Provide regular sales updates, market feedback, forecasts, account notes, and opportunity reporting to Ska leadership.
  • Assist with demand planning and forecasting for Easy Light, including seasonal volume changes and event-driven needs.
  • Maintain professional, positive working relationships with distributors, retailers, consumers, and internal team members.
  • Manage assigned budgets, travel expenses, inventory, point-of-sale materials, and promotional assets responsibly.
  • Remain knowledgeable about Easy Light and Ska Brewing products, company history, brand standards, and the competitive beer landscape.
  • Represent West's Easy Light Beer and Ska Brewing Company professionally at all times.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of beverage alcohol, consumer packaged goods, distributor, retail, hospitality, or field sales experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of beer sales, distributor networks, retail execution, and account management preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Utah beer market, including on-premise, off-premise, chain, tourism, and outdoor recreation-driven accounts, strongly preferred.
  • Ability to build relationships quickly and communicate effectively with distributors, buyers, retailers, bartenders, servers, and consumers.
  • Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, Excel, sales reporting tools, and basic business communication.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing a large territory with limited day-to-day supervision.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working evenings, weekends, festivals, promotions, and peak seasonal periods as needed.
  • Ability to lift and move beer cases (twist, squat, carry), full kegs, displays, tents, coolers, signage, and event materials as needed.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout Utah.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Passion for beer, brand building, hospitality, outdoor culture, and the Ska Brewing way of doing things.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a motivated field salesperson who can balance hustle with professionalism. They understand how to turn a new brand into a trusted local favorite by showing up consistently, supporting distributor teams, earning retailer confidence, and creating memorable consumer experiences. They are comfortable working independently, love being in the market, and are excited by the opportunity to build West's Easy Light into a major light beer option across Utah.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation will be competitive and based on experience. Benefits may include health insurance, paid time off, beer privileges, mileage or vehicle allowance, phone allowance, sales tools, and opportunities to participate in events, festivals, and brand-building activities throughout the territory.

  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance available to Full Time employees (a portion of premiums is paid by Ska Brewing)
