SALARY:
  • $30.55 per hour starting wage (0-12 months)
  • $34.62 per hour (13-18 months)
  • $36.66 per hour (19-24 months)
  • $40.74 per hour (upon successful completion of apprenticeship)

SHIFT: Rotating; Based on Seniority (Shifts range anywhere between 8-12 hours.)
  • Afternoons/Evenings: 3pm-11pm
  • Midnights: 11pm-7am

ROLE SUMMARY:
Safety first, quality always, then volume. As a Brewing Apprentice in the Brewing Department, you will be expected to perform all of the same tasks and responsibilities of a regular, full-time employee. Brewing Apprentices are a critical part of our workforce, by monitoring quality, interpreting data, and improving upon processes to ensure we're operating the best we can.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate Brewing beer production systems and equipment including Grains Unloading, Brewhouse, Rementation, Secondary Aging, Filtration, and Flavored Alcoholic Beverage processes.
  • Responsible for Brewing process management, housekeeping, and sanitation.
  • Job duties will include managing or controlling brewing systems, driving fork trucks, recording process data, and troubleshooting and responding to all activities that occur during shift of responsibility.
  • Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
  • Maintain plant safety and quality requirements.
  • Function in a lean manufacturing work environment using problem solving tools to optimize processes.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Able to perform basic troubleshooting and ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Able to perform industrial cleaning, sanitation and quality checks.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Preferred 2 year or greater degree or brewing experience
  • Must be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Computer experience preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varying temperatures and climates.
  • Physical requirements of the position include continuous standing, bending, lifting and pushing.
  • Basic mathematic and scientific knowledge, technical skills, decision-making skills and presentation skills required.
  • Must have a positive work attitude and be self-motivated.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a team-oriented environment.
