Job Summary: Field Tech - EXP (Building Automation/HVAC)
Location: Muncie, IN 47305 | Worksite: Elkhart, IN or La Porte, IN (post-training)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm | Occasional OT
About the Role
Join a leading team as an experienced Field Tech - EXP, responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of advanced building automation and HVAC systems. This hands-on, field-based position empowers you to deliver top-tier technical solutions, train customers, and drive operational excellence in dynamic commercial environments.
Responsibilities
- Deliver on-site maintenance, repairs, and upgrades for customer-owned HVAC and building automation equipment.
- Execute installation of new systems, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
- Conduct comprehensive customer training on products, services, and enhanced system features.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints to support effective system integration.
- Maintain accurate documentation of service activities and uphold compliance with company protocols.
- Adapt to diverse technical challenges and deliver solutions across multiple building automation platforms.
Required Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience in building automation, HVAC, or technical fields.
- Physically able to climb ladders, operate lift equipment over 8 feet, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Possess a valid driver's license and meet company insurability standards.
Preferred Skills
- Technical/Business school certificate, associate, or bachelor's degree in HVAC, Controls, or related field.
- Advanced troubleshooting of HVAC or building automation logic.
- TCP/IP networking and wireless technology experience.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
- Experience navigating multiple building automation systems.
