Job description

Do you like to travel and have a background in "hands-on" engineering as well as a degree in Mechanical Engineering?
If you do, then we have the job for you. The job with OST Services (a subsidiary of LISEGA, Inc.) involves the Field Service Engineer ideally having five plus years of experience with pipe supports, restraints and snubbers. The work will be performed at non-nuclear and nuclear electrical generating facilities, waste treatment plants, paper mills, Petro-Chemical plants etc. located throughout North America along with some limited international travel. Depending on the workload and the individual’s interest the position could also be seasonable (part-time) but is intended for full-time employment. This job has fully paid travel expenses, per diem and work at clean power plants located throughout North America. You will travel a lot in this job and your pay rate will depend on your experience level and is targeted between $50 and $60 per hour plus per diem when traveling.

The individual should be capable of some, or all, of the following;
• Evaluate piping/support systems.
• Prepare technical reports detailing inspection results, subsequent recommendations and conclusions.
• Supervise adjustments, installation and repair of the above as required.
• Familiar with the application and design of pipe supports.
• Perform limited activities to generate and maintain customers.
• Order and expedite materials, interface with manufacturing facilities, customer correspondence to ensure that delivery and contract commitments are met.
• Development and implementation of design and fabrication procedures.
• Guide and/or perform hydraulic snubber testing and rebuilding.
• On- and off-site assistance in troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of piping materials and various nondestructive testing techniques.
Qualifications:

• Must have a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Two or more years of experience with pipe support and restraint products is prefered.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Must be self-motivated and can work independently.
• Computer literate.

Physical & Mental Demands:

• Reading, writing, detailing (rough) calculations.
• Ability to perform lifting, climbing, stooping.
• Visual acuity.
• Must have the ability to work under pressure in order to meet customer requirements, deadlines, etc.
• Travel to specific jobsites within the US and abroad.
• Able to react to customer urgency in times of emergency.
• Work professionally with co-workers and customers.
