Job description

The Field Operations Supervisor position will manage, train and oversee dispatch teams, confirm shift coverage and manage customer service.Responsibilities
  • Manages day-to-day operations activity and teams, and ensures the department is reaching goals set forth by leadership. 
  • Assists the Operations Manager/Director of Operations with communicating and explaining new directives, policies, or procedures to teams. 
  • Assists Operations Manager/Director of Operations with improving customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes. 
  • Partners with operations team to solve and communicates active driver and client issues.
  • Escalates client and driver issues as necessary to Operations Manager/Director of Operations. 
  • Proactively manages dispatch boards for coverage, OTP and scanning compliance and addresses gaps performance discrepancies in real time with dispatch and drivers. 
  • Oversees shift changes and handoff including start/end of shift team meetings/communications. 
  • Reviews, validates and sends client status reports proactively per client expectations.
  • Coordinates team schedule/support to ensure appropriate coverage for client activity.
  • Manages customer complaints and solves in real time. 
  • Communicate driver compliance, training and reinforce performance standards.
  • Identify areas of driver shortages, overloaded drivers and additional TSA drivers. 
  • Manage team performance and develop team members for successive responsibility. 
  • Manage team schedules for coverage. 
  • Other duties as assigned
Required SkillsABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in logistics, transportation, business, and finance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior managerial and diplomacy skills.
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office related software.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • College degree in Logistics, Business or other related field, preferred. 
  • Extensive and diversified background with at least 3 years of related experience.Â
