Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Application Developer to support a company focused on delivering mission-critical technology solutions for government and defense initiatives. This position is on-site at Herndon, VA. The Application Developer will design, develop, and maintain software applications while ensuring compliance with established development standards and mission requirements. Join a team supporting high-impact systems that directly contribute to national security objectives. Responsibilities for the Application Developer include: * Develop and maintain applications using established standards, processes, and tools across the full software development lifecycle
* Analyze user requirements and translate them into functional and efficient software solutions
* Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, ensuring optimal system performance
* Document program development, enhancements, and system capabilities
* Support integration of COTS/FOSS solutions and ensure adherence to software standards
Required Qualifications for the Application Developer include: * 2-6+ years of relevant software development experience
* Proficiency in Java development and working with XML
* Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to support multiple operating systems (Linux/Windows)
