  • What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will serve as a Senior Logistics Management Specialist with responsibility for performing work that involves planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specified mission or other designated program and the execution of these programs in support of day-to-day and disaster operations.Typical assignments include: Providing advice and guidance on the execution of a wide range of logistics management. Analyzing and evaluating complex problems and interrelated issues to develop positive solutions. Coordinating with agency officials, customers, internal personnel, and external stakeholders to assure adequate logistics management program support. What else do I need to know? At FEMA, our mission is to help people before, during and after disasters, and every employee at FEMA has a role in emergency management. Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites.
