Job description

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Federal Sales Account Executive (Executive, Account) to learn and eventually strategically manage and grow revenue through Federal customers within the U.S. Federal Government. Responsibilities include identifying, developing and growing Federal hardware and software sales revenue. Looking for eager, motivated sales professionals who know what it takes to develop and manage customer relationships, understand customer workflows and present winning solutions. This is your opportunity to achieve the next exciting phase of your career and join a well-known manufacturer. Position supports federal government customers and contractors in the Washington Metro Area, including all of VA and MD, reporting to the Arlington, VA office (some travel included). Would consider remote locations if a candidate qualifies.
This position is full time and is considered virtual. The office will be open 5 days a week; however you will not be required to report to the office unless there is a specific business need. Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.
- Develope, identify, and grow relationships within Agency offices, and leverage existing contracts
- Identify and build new customer base, replacing competitive products/solutions
- Continue to increase technical knowledge of the office equipment/solutions industry by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications and participating in required product certifications
- Contribute to team effort by working side by side with Canon's local dealer network, government contractors, and teaming partners to provide industry-leading service
- Respond and work with Bid team on transactional hardware opportunities advertised on ebuy or Sam.gov
- Manage and increase account base 10% YOY
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required and minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills required (specifically Excel)
- Working knowledge of Sales Force (or equivalent) required
- Federal Government Experience or office equipment/solutions industry selling preferred
- Must be based in the Washington DC area, reporting to Arlington VA office
- Experience selling into system integrators/government contractors a plus
- Experience in Managed Print Services (MPS) a plus
- Understanding of the Federal government procurement processes a plus
- High Volume Production/ Central Reprographic Department (CRD) experience a plus
- Position will require at least 10% overnight travel throughout sales territory/HQ meetings
We are providing the anticipated salary range for this role: $84,350 - $126,300 annually. This role is eligible for commissions under the terms of an applicable plan.
