The Laboratory Technician II Chemistry will perform titration, operate lab equipment and software. This position requires maintaining accurate record keeping and working autonomously throughout 12-hour shifts.From your EXPERTISE to oursKey responsibilities for this position include: Testing of cheese samples for moisture, fat, pH, salt, and calcium content. Testing liquid samples for fat, protein, total solids, pH, titratable acidity. Operating various lab equipment (infrared, near infrared, electronic microscope, moisture oven, chloride analyzer, pH meter). Preparing different chemical reagents to be used in certain analysis. Recording results in Excel spreadsheets and internal software. Communicate results to plant management team via email, phone, in person. Quality checks: temperatures on various equipment, autoclave sterilization, media pH, etc Lab cleanup at the end of shift and various cleaning throughout the month. Perform other duties as requested by supervisor. Requirements From your STORY to oursQualified applicants will contribute the following:Education High School or General Education Degree Required. Basic Chemistry knowledge from high school or college.Experience Laboratory Analysis preferred. Basic knowledge/experience using Microsoft office and outlook. Titrations and operation of lab equipment.Specialized Knowledge Understanding of scientific methods. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Strong attention to detail.Skills / Abilities Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to work autonomously and contribute as a team.
