Join the esteemed team at Farmers Insurance - Carrie Lewis Agency, a leading provider of quality insurance products and excellent customer service. Based out of Norfolk, Virginia, we are growing our team and searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help clients secure their futures while helping them protect what matters most. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about building meaningful client relationships and delivering exceptional service.

Additionally, your role will include various administrative tasks, including, but not limited to assisting with processing incoming and outgoing mail, fax requests, trailing documents, onboarding and offboarding clients in a timely and professional manner, and providing direct administrative assistance to the agency owner and agents. Monthly, and at times semi-monthly, our agency participates in various events that all staff are required to attend.

This role includes room for growth into a Client Account Manager once Black Belt Status is achieved.

Responsibilities
  • Process customer policy change requests, follow-up and evidence of insurance requests while securing all trailing documents from new and existing clients.
  • Document each customer contact in agency management system with proper notes.
  • Deep drive review of a client's lifecycle with our agency, their current policies and upcoming renewals
  • Immediately greet all customers entering the office in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Take premium payments from customers and resolve billing issues.
  • Ask each customer for referrals and explain our referral program.
  • Verify phone numbers, addresses and email addresses with each customer contact and update customer information.
  • Maintain knowledge of new and existing products.
  • Assist with general office housekeeping, package and mail handling.
  • All aspects of client management and customer service for our clients.
  • Work various events throughout the year promoting the agency.

Requirements
  • If you do not fill out the required assessment, you will not be considered for the role.
  • Must have previous administrative/high volume customer service experience.
  • Must be property and casualty licensed as well as life and annuities licensed.
  • Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful and be coachable.
  • Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Problem-solvers only! You must be able to independently problem solve and find sensible solutions.
  • Must be punctual and reliable - shifts are flexible, and must be discussed and scheduled with Agent ahead of time..
