Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting individual therapy sessions to support clients' emotional and mental health needs, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy.
  • Facilitating couples therapy sessions to enhance communication, resolve conflicts, and rebuild relationships through guided interventions.
  • Working closely with families to strengthen relationships, improve dynamics, and address specific concerns affecting family members.
  • Developing comprehensive and individualized treatment plans that align with each client's specific goals and needs, ensuring measurable progress through systematic evaluations.
  • Assessing and diagnosing mental health disorders based on established criteria, and providing appropriate recommendations for treatment or referrals when necessary.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other specialists to deliver holistic care to clients, representing the organization at interdisciplinary meetings as needed.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse population of clients ranging from individuals seeking personal growth to couples and families managing relational difficulties. Our clients present various challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, allowing you to impact multiple aspects of their lives and well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating competency in providing therapeutic services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to engage and connect with clients compassionately and effectively.
  • Proficiency in working autonomously with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other professionals in a remote environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with teletherapy and familiar with digital mental health tools.
  • Background in family systems theory and techniques for addressing dynamic family interactions.
  • Knowledge of community resources to assist clients in accessing comprehensive care.
Compensation and Benefits
