  • Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of presenting problems.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and radiographic studies to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Engage in shared decision-making with patients, providing clear explanations and recommendations for care based on clinical evaluations.
  • Administer medications and treatments as necessary, adhering to safety and efficacy standards.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures and interventions, including suturing, incision and drainage, and splinting as needed.
  • Document patient interactions comprehensively in our electronic health record (EHR) system to maintain accurate and current patient information.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will care for patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric, ensuring that each individual receives personalized medical attention. Our patient population presents a broad spectrum of urgent health concerns, which requires you to be adept in handling cases that range from minor injuries to more complex medical conditions. Your ability to foster rapport with patients and their families is crucial in facilitating their understanding of treatment options and improving their health outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a Bachelor's Degree and be a Board Certified Physician Assistant.
  • Active, unrestricted advanced practice provider license in the state of Connecticut.
  • BLS/CPR certification is required to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of one year of experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is preferred, although candidates with backgrounds in family medicine or internal medicine may also be considered.
  • Experience in performing minor procedures such as suturing and splinting is an advantage, as well as familiarity with interpreting ECGs and X-rays.
