Job description

Hiring: Failure Analysis Engineer
Location: Newark, DE
Type: W2 Contract
Industry: Medical Devices
We are looking for a Failure Analysis Engineer with experience in troubleshooting medical devices, performing root cause analysis, and supporting quality investigations.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate Out-of-Box Failures (OOBFs) and field failures.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, Fault Tree).
  • Analyze schematics, drawings, logs, and diagnostic data.
  • Identify electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, supplier, or installation issues.
  • Support CAPA activities and work with R&D, Manufacturing, Service, and Quality teams.
 
Requirements:
  • 3–5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience in Failure Analysis and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Medical Device or regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
