Job description

Role:-Failure Analysis Engineer
Location:-Onsite in MTV
Level 5
  • Masters Degree or above in Electrical Engineering plus 5 years of experience in Failure Analysis
  • Setup, run, and analyze CT Scans and X-Rays on Google devices and components.
  • Develop and maintain software tooling (scripts, small applications, automated test sequences in Python), test programs, and/or databases/dashboards.
  • Aid in development and continuous improvement of lab procedures and processes
  • Electrical debug experience is good to have
  • Prioritize work for junior technicians based on dynamic program priorities defined by Google.
  • Analyze and summarize results collected by Category I-IV technicians; report findings.
  • Analyze samples or groups of samples to develop hypotheses on failure mechanism; summarize and report findings.
  • Analyze samples using on-site instruments or by engaging with internal partner labs or 3rd parties, to conduct RCA; summarize and report findings.
  • Utilizing the hypotheses and RCA, develop and execute experiments that demonstrate reproducibility of failure modes; summarize and report findings.

Train other technicians on findings and experimental methods required to reproduce or identify failure modes
