Job description

At the Fresh Factory, we've built a platform to accelerate the growth of emerging food and beverage brands. We are vertically integrated from the farm to the shelf and offer services above and beyond traditional manufacturing, becoming a trusted growth partner for leading brands. We are growing quickly, adding exciting new products, processes, and packaging capabilities. Thanks to this growth, we are looking to add a Quality Assurance Supervisor to our team.
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured at The Fresh Factory conform to food safety and quality specifications as well as overseeing quality system validation and verifications.
This position will involve overseeing all quality personnel for all locations, coordinating and executing all quality programs and initiatives, and being the main liaison between QA and Operations. This role reports to the Quality Assurance Manager. This is a first shift role and will be operating independently, a candidate with strong self-organization and task management is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Scheduling all Quality Tech positions
  • Review all paperwork generated by the Quality Control System
  • Sign off on all CCPs / PPCs
  • Preform GMP audits and daily line inspections for GMP adherence
  • Preform Process Reviews
  • Be a front line investigator for Quality Complaints, CAPA / Internal Audit Program
  • Be the Operations to QA liaison for all issues
  • Backfill QA coverage as needed
  • As needed, be the senior representative for operations in the absence of the line leads
  • Other duties as needed related to the development and execution of the Quality Control System

Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous experience as a supervisor in a food manufacturing facility
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to work with multiple departments including Operations, Maintenance, Warehouse & Logistics, and R&D
  • Ability to use a computer and tablet
  • Must speak, read, and write in English and be conversationally fluent in Spanish
  • HACCP / PCQI certification required (or equivalent experience)

Physical requirements
  • Move/Lift up to 50lbs
  • Stands most of the day
  • Works in Cold Room (35F-40F) 10-20% of the time
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment
