Summary:


Facility Supervisor coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Oversees a staff that installs, inspects, repairs, and maintains building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshooting for all the utility of the facility including Air Handler, Chillers, Steam line and support in trouble shooting of the equipment.
  • Available for emergency call for the facility including the fire alarm calls. 
  • Monitoring of the utilities of the facility and familiar with the operations of Building Automation system.
  • Identifying and procurement of the parts for utilities.
  • Maintain and coordinate for the work orders, assigning the work to the maintenance mechanics
  • Ensure and monitor for proper pest control activity in the facility
  • Generate engineering documents for equipment and facility utility including preventive maintenance. 
  • Maintain Documentation as per company's requirement / GMP requirements
  • Coordinating with external vendor for the PM and other maintenance task as required
  • Ensure for proper sanitization of the facility interior and exterior
  • Guide and monitor the janitorial team for the general cleanliness of the facility
  • Assist in improving team work n efficiency by implementing technically possible corrections
  • Able to use/navigate computer and/or computer-based software
  • Support in construction and project related activity
  • Takes responsibility to improve skill and techniques.
  • Provide training or guidance to other entry level positions.
  • Order parts and supplies for equipment and have a thorough understanding of the stock room operations.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work extended hours and respond to emergency calls by an on call schedule.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested and completes them in a timely and detailed manner.
  • Complies with all company policies and standards

Requirements

PREREQUISITES:


Education:

  • Associate's degree and/or vocational/specialized training required

Experience:  

  • At least 6 years of experience in a biotech, pharmaceutical or medical device setting is required.  
  • 2-4 years supervisory experience preferred.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: 

  • Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to provide timely feedback to Management and customers regarding work, procedures, schedules, etc.
  • Must understand and apply all concepts, methods, and procedures applicable to the job and make good decisions.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and apply written and verbal instruction accurately.
  • Work cooperatively with other team members, co-workers toward departmental or area goals.
  • High attention to detail. Work is done with a quality-minded approach
  • Follow job procedures and maintain work area in a safe and organized manner.
  • Follow applicable safety rules and is alert with regard to safety of others.
  • Ability to multi-task and complete work within the time lines set.
  • Good time management skills. Uses downtime constructively
  • Consistently works within company expectations with regard to attendance and punctuality
  • Assignments meet required standards
  • Continuous improvements are made in skills, outputs and service.
  • Ability to work in extreme conditions/weather 
  • Must be flexible to work a variety of hours as business demands (including weekends and holidays) and to be on-call during off hours to support key initiatives.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • General work environment and physical demands as required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to work flexible hours as needed. 
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
  • High-paced demanding environment to meet ambitious project goals.
  • Some travel may be involved.
