Job description

Capital Quarries is currently recruiting for a Quarry Supervisor to oversee Jefferson City, Missouri Stadium Quarry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Communicate with team to meet production demands in a timely manner.
  • Supervise employees performing day to day quarry operations and mobile equipment maintenance.
  • Schedule, assign, plan and monitor the work of crews to ensure completion of the tasks in a timely and quality manner.
  • Manage mobile equipment expenses and operational expectations.
  • Coordinate outside vendor activities, including blasting.
  • Manage operations of portable plants including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, mobile equipment maintenance, ect.
  • Complete operational summaries and reports as needed.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise quarry operations to meet portable plant production needs.
  • Manage any urgent or breakdown jobs as required to keep equipment running and minimize downtime.
  • Provide technical assistance in maintenance of equipment.
  • Willing to operate equipment with the crew as needed.
  • Ensure all mining and mobile equipment activities are compliant.
  • Ensure quarry site operates safely, efficiently, and successfully.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Familiar with MSHA/OSHA regulations, quarry processing equipment (i.e. crushers, belt conveyors), and general maintenance of equipment
  • 2 - 5 years working in mining/quarry operations with managerial and front-line supervisory experience.
  • Willing to travel/work out of town.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
