Position Overview

The Trim and Square position plays a key role in the production process by receiving joined fabric and accurately trimming it to specific measurements.

What you'll do

  • Receive joined fabric from joiners and inspect for straight hems and proper pattern alignment.
  • Read work tickets carefully to determine shade type and required measurements.
  • Trim fabric accurately to specified dimensions.
  • Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE; report any unsafe conditions or defective equipment.
  • Use tools like staple guns and saws safely; wear safety glasses when required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area; participate in daily housekeeping.
  • Unplug irons, drills, and return tools to designated spots at the end of each shift.
  • Report all near misses, accidents, or injuries immediately to your supervisor.
