Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • F5 Certified Technician: BIG-IP (101 or 201).
  • F5 Certified Implementation Specialist: Local Traffic Manager (201 or 301).
  • F5 Certified Implementation Specialist: Global Traffic Manager (201 or 301).
  • F5 Certified Solutions Expert: Application Delivery Fundamentals (301 or 401).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience with F5 products, specifically LTM and GTM.
  • Configuration and management of F5 BIG-IP LTM and GTM modules.
  • Experience with high-availability (HA) configurations.
  • Scripting and automation experience.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and other relevant protocols.
  • Experience with load balancing algorithms and persistence methods.
  • Knowledge of SSL/TLS, security protocols, and best practices.
  • Experience with F5 security features like Client (Application Security Manager) is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integrating F5 with cloud services.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.
  • Familiarity with log management solutions like Client .
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Design F5 LTM and GTM solutions that align with business requirements and best practices.
  • Configure and manage F5 BIG-IP LTM and GTM modules.
  • Implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Develop and maintain scripts and automation workflows for F5 configurations.
  • Integrate F5 solutions with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor F5 device performance and health using various monitoring tools.
  • Set up alerts and notifications for critical issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to F5 LTM and GTM.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Plan and execute F5 software upgrades and patches.
  • Ensure minimal downtime during maintenance activities.
  • Implement and maintain security configurations on F5 devices.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and standards.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for F5 configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Document incident responses and resolutions.
  • Work closely with application teams, network engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of F5 solutions.
