Salary: Starting at $55,000 (higher depending on experience)

About the Company
Our client is an established freight forwarding company with nearly 80 years in the industry and ten branches located at all major gateways. They specialize in air and ocean import/export services, customs brokerage, warehousing, and special projects within the aerospace industry, with a vast network of agency partners in over 100 countries.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Air Export Agent to join the Seattle office team. This is a hands-on operational role in a small, collaborative office environment with a local manager and one other operations team member. The ideal candidate will be able to manage air export shipments from start to finish with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle A-Z air export operations, including booking, documentation, and coordination
  • Prepare and process full documentation services (Letters of Credit, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, packing lists)
  • Coordinate with carriers, trucking companies, and overseas agents
  • Manage dangerous goods and perishable goods shipments according to regulations
  • Arrange containerization services and door-to-door transportation
  • Communicate with customers regarding shipment status and resolve issues
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in company systems
  • Handle both direct and consolidation shipments
Requirements
  • Minimum 2+ years of air export operations experience
  • Strong knowledge of air freight forwarding A-Z processes
  • Understanding of export documentation requirements
  • Ability to work independently in a small team environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office
