Export Operations Account Manager

About The AGL Group: We are a trusted leader in the logistics solutions space dedicated to delivering excellence in service and value to our clients. Our main goal is to make our clients’ lives easier through simplifying their supply chain.

We have three offices, two in the United States and another in Colombia with team members all over the Unites States.

Our 7-year goal is to move 200,000 loads annually, which is 160,000more than we are currently shipping.


Salary Range: $55,000 to $65,000


Job Type: This is a full-tome in-office position in our Weymouth, MA office. The base hours for the position are Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. Work from home is not available for this position.


Experience: Experience preferred in NVOCC/freight forwarder. Logistics experience required.


Job Summary:

The Export Operations Account Manager is primarily responsible for providing operational services to meet the clients’ needs in a cost-effective, timely and friendly manner.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Steamship Lines, Drayage Providers, Suppliers and USDA to export containerized loads for our clients
  • Consult clients to obtain information to ensure correct measures are in place and clients’ needs are met
  • Issue correct shipment information and arrange shipment pick-up
  • Ensure shipments meet OSHA, USDA, and FMC regulations, in addition to local regulations
  • Ensure procedures and standards as set are maintained
  • Assist other team members as required in a team environment and instructed by manager
  • Daily tracking of shipments

  • Managing Client Focus – Promotes client focus; establishes client service standards; provides training in client service delivery; monitors client satisfaction; develops innovative approaches to meeting client needs
  • Communication – Expresses ideas and thoughts verbally; expresses ideas and thoughts in written form; exhibits good listening and comprehension, keeps others/management informed; selects and uses appropriate communication methods. Knows when to escalate any client issues that may arise
