Job description

Job Summary:
Expedition Technology is a company that designs and delivers advanced solutions for defense and intelligence communities. They are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to develop and implement DevSecOps capabilities, containerize applications, and support a multi-disciplinary team in delivering prototype systems.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Writing and reviewing Python code.
โ€ข Container development and orchestration (Docker, Helm, Kubernetes/Rancher, ArgoCD)
โ€ข Develop and deploy DevSecOps capabilities within a multi-project, multi-team environment
โ€ข Understanding git workflows (branching, etc.) and release engineering approaches to software development
โ€ข Delivering infrastructure-as-code solutions using CloudFormation, Terraform, and/or Packer
โ€ข Troubleshooting Linux system networking, storage, and related services (i.e., HTTP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, VLANs, etc.)
โ€ข Working within the constraints of NIST 800-53, 800-171, CMMC, or related compliance policies (e.g., CIS)
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience
โ€ข A minimum of 5 years of related work experience
โ€ข Current active TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
โ€ข Understanding git workflows (branching, etc.) and release engineering approaches to software development
โ€ข At least 3 years of hands-on experience in each of the following:
โ€ข Git workflows (branching, etc.) and release engineering approaches to software development
โ€ข Building highly automated infrastructure and cloud-native applications deployed to a major cloud provider
โ€ข Delivering infrastructure-as-code solutions using CloudFormation, Terraform, and/or Packer
โ€ข Advanced skills and expertise in troubleshooting Linux system networking, storage, and related services (i.e., HTTP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, VLANs, etc.)
โ€ข Writing and reviewing professional grade python code with testing
โ€ข Familiarity with harnessing LLMs to produce reliable and coherent code
Preferred:
โ€ข Knowledge of AWS architecture, security, IAM roles and policies
โ€ข Familiarity with data curation for the development of machine learning models
โ€ข Familiarity with Kubernetes, specifically with writing and deploying Helm Charts
