The Uftring Auto Group is expanding our award-winning service teams!
We have a thorough but FAST hiring process!
The Apprentice Technician is responsible for assisting experienced automotive technicians in performing vehicle maintenance and repairs under close supervision, learning basic diagnostic skills, and gaining hands-on experience in various automotive systems while actively training to become a fully qualified technician.

PAY IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE AND BEGINS AT $19.00 per HOUR
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Diagnose the cause of malfunctions, perform repairs as directed and document all work performed.
  • Attend all training, shop meetings, and continue education provided by the manufacturer.
  • Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
  • Road test vehicles to quality check the work performed.

QUALITIES FOR SUCCESS
  • Recent graduate from an automotive program or have been employed at an auto shop for 2 years.
  • Must be mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to take directions and follow through.
  • Good judgment with the ability to operate power and hand tools
  • Must possess a valid IL driver's license with an acceptable driving record
