Job Description:

The Low Voltage Estimator/Project Manager must demonstrate expertise in overseeing low-voltage systems, including structured cabling, fire alarm systems, security systems, access control systems, CCTV systems, and data networks. The Low Voltage Project Manager will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting.

Salary Range:
$85,000-$120,000
Typical Duties:
  • Lead the full project lifecycle for low-voltage system installations
  • Complete fire alarm design and submittal review
  • Complete project takeoff and put together detailed estimates.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of project documentation
  • Develop and manage implementation plans
  • Coordinate all purchasing activities
  • Generate Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Draft and manage subcontractor agreements
  • Prepare change order documentation
  • Maintain accurate daily reporting and billing forecasts
  • Interface directly with clients, stakeholders, and general contractors
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and project closeout
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of Low Voltage experience
  • Strong understanding of low voltage systems and regulations
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Able to work overtime, nights, weekends, and travel (if customer driven)
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office
  • NICET Level III (3) or IV (4) Certification
  • State of Ohio Fire Alarm Designer Certification
Physical Requirements:
  • May require climbing ladders, working at heights, and in small, confined spaces
  • Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
