CORPORATE PROJECT MANAGER

This role sits at the center of Millcraft’s growth and operational excellence strategy.
As the Project Manager / Evergreen Program Lead, you will:
  • Coordinate with individual project managers a portfolio of high-impact continuous improvement initiatives
  • Drive M amp;A integration execution (acquisitions, consolidations)
  • Lead new facility / location expansion projects
  • Ensure all initiatives deliver repeatable, measurable financial outcomes
This role is accountable not just for execution—but for embedding discipline, scalability, and sustainability across the organization.
The successful candidate will demonstrate reliability, curiosity, and follow-through. They will be expected to work in-office regularly to collaborate with peers, maintain consistent communication, and build a strong foundation of projects, practices and habits.
CORE FUNCTIONS OF THIS ROLE
1. Enterprise CI Ownership / Lean Six Sigma
  • Lead the Evergreen continuous improvement program, including pipeline development and prioritization
  • Run bi-weekly steering committee reviews, ensuring visibility into progress, risks, and required resources
  • Enforce use of DMAIC / Lean methodologies across all initiatives
  • Ensure every project is tied to clear financial outcomes (GP$, EBITDA, cost savings)
2. Mergers amp; Acquisitions (Integration Leadership)
  • Lead post-acquisition integration efforts, including:
    • Operational alignment (processes, workflows, org structure)
    • Facility consolidation and footprint optimization
    • Systems integration (ERP, reporting, inventory visibility)
  • Develop and execute integration roadmaps aligned to deal thesis and value creation targets
  • Identify and capture synergies (cost savings, margin improvement, working capital optimization)
  • Coordinate across functions (Sales, Ops, Finance, IT, HR) to ensure seamless integration
3. New Location amp; Facility Expansion Projects
  • Lead end-to-end execution of new site launches, relocations, and expansions, including:
    • Facility selection and evaluation
    • Layout design and workflow optimization
    • Equipment relocation, installation, and commissioning
  • Staffing models and ramp-up planning
  • Act as primary point of coordination across contractors, vendors, and internal teams
  • Ensure operational readiness at go-live including:
    • Process flow design
    • Safety and compliance readiness
    • Inventory positioning and logistics setup
4. Project Portfolio Management
  • Manage a portfolio of initiatives across:
    • Pricing and margin expansion
    • Supply chain and inventory optimization
    • Distribution network optimization and consolidation
    • Sales and commercial models
  • Prioritize projects based on ROI, strategic alignment, and execution feasibility
  • Allocate resources effectively across multiple concurrent initiatives
5. Project Execution amp; Delivery Discipline
  • Lead projects from charter through control phase, ensuring measurable results
  • Develop structured project plans:
    • Scope, timelines, milestones
    • Budget and resourcing
    • Risks and contingencies
  • Ensure consistent delivery of on-time, on-budget outcomes
6. Governance, Measurement amp; Sustainability
  • Enforce use of formal project charters and success metrics
  • Implement stage-gate governance model for executive oversight
  • Establish controls to:
    • Validate impact
    • Sustain improvements
    • Prevent performance backsliding
7. Cross-Functional Leadership amp; Alignment
  • Partner with leadership teams across:
    • Sales amp; Marketing
    • Operations amp; Warehousing
    • Supply Chain amp; Procurement
    • Finance and IT
  • Translate strategy into executable plans
  • Drive accountability across teams without direct authority
8. Technology amp; Systems Enablement
  • Lead initiatives leveraging:
    • Microsoft D365 ERP platform
    • AI and automation tools
  • Ensure systems support scalable, standardized processes

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
  • 8–15+ years of experience in:
    • Project Management
    • Lean Six Sigma and/or Continuous Improvement / Operations
    • M amp;A integration or large-scale operational transformation
  • Proven track record leading complex, multi-site initiatives
Preferred
  • Experience in distribution, supply chain, or industrial environments
  • Experience leading facility startup, relocation, or consolidation projects
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC methodologies
  • Experience with ERP systems (D365 preferred)
  • Organized and detail-oriented — you track what matters, follow up without being asked, and keep documentation current
  • Comfort working in a Windows / Microsoft 365 environment including Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in deliverables
  • Consistent follow-up and proactive communication with team, peers and management
  • Reliable time management and ability to work on-site regularly (minimum 3 days per week)
  • Willingness to take directions, ask questions, and document learning
